I believe that the Old Bayham Abbey should be included in the guide to Tunbridge Wells. The 13th century ruins of the French abbey are set amongst the pretty wooded valley of the River Teise.

Scotney Castle Garden and Estate is one of nicest gardens in the UK. The surroundings, which include the castle ruins, traditional English plants and breathtaking views, make this my favourite place in Tunbridge Wells.

The food at The Mill is superb, the service is second to none and there is a great atmosphere. You can really tell that they pride themselves on the quality of the food that they serve and they regularly update the menu.

Tonbridge Castle provides us with a real insight into Kent’s history, it’s a truly magnificent place that has much to offer both the young and old.
