Jorvik is a popular place for visitors to the city. Based in the centre of York, Jorvik have reconstructed the city as it was in the year AD975. It is based on the archaeological evidence unearthed during the Coppergate excavations between 1979 and 1981, and have items uncovered on the site on display.
